The report identifies Vietnam as one of only three countries in the region that have achieved positive economic growth in 2021, citing factors such as its favorable geographic location, large, young, and educated population, and stable macroeconomic environment.
The report notes that Vietnam's government has made significant progress over the past decade through its Socio-Economic Development Strategy (SEDS) 2011-2020, which has resulted in macroeconomic stability, economic growth, and the transformation of the country's economy.
However, there are still challenges to be addressed, such as low productivity, competitiveness, and efficiency, which the next socio-economic development plan is expected to tackle.
The White Book also emphasizes Vietnam's adherence to international standards, as the country has consistently reformed its domestic legal regulations since joining the World Trade Organization (WTO) in 2007.
This has made Vietnam a more attractive market for foreign businesses and investors, further inspiring investor confidence in the country's business and investment environment.
